The LPU admission process 2026 is completely online and includes six steps from registration to seat confirmation. Admission to most programs at LPU is based on LPUNEST for both eligibility and scholarship. Candidates who appeared for respective national-level entrance examinations for admission to a few courses must appear for LPUNEST to get the scholarship. Some postgraduate programs, like the MBA, involve an additional personal interview round. The step-by-step process for how to get admission to LPU is as follows:

Online Registration: Create an account on the LPUADMIT portal at admission.lpu.in. Enter personal details and contact information and select the desired program.

• Application Form Submission: Fill out the detailed LPU application form. Provide academic history and upload a recent photograph and signature.
• Application Fee Payment: Pay the LPUNEST application fee of INR 1,000 for the soft-copy LPUNEST Kit or INR 1,500 for the printed kit using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI.
• Slot Booking: Log in to the portal and book a preferred date and time for the LPUNEST examination. Students can choose a remote proctored exam or a test-center-based exam.
• Appear for LPUNEST: Take the LPUNEST exam on the scheduled date.
• Result Declaration: Check the exam result and scholarship status on the designated date.
• Online Counselling and Preference Filling: Qualified candidates must participate in online counseling. Fill in the preferences for the desired specialization or campus.
• Seat Allotment: LPU allocates seats based on the LPUNEST rank, candidate preferences, and seat availability.

• Admission Confirmation and Fee Payment: Secure the allotted seat by paying the initial admission fee of INR 10,000. Upload all mandatory academic documents for verification.

Important points for LPU Admission process:

• For LPU MBA admission 2026, candidates are also required to submit a video essay and attend a personal interview after the entrance score is uploaded.

• For LPU BTech CSE admission 2026 under the Type-A route, candidates are also required to take a Knowledge Quotient (KQ) test plus an interview.

• Candidates who already hold a valid score in JEE Main, CUET, CAT, MAT, NATA, or other accepted exams can skip LPUNEST for admission but should still consider attempting it for the merit-scholarship benefit.
