Prior learning recognition Prospective students who have worked in some capacity in an area of health, social care and/or wellbeing and who do not possess formal certificate qualifications at or equivalent to MFHEA MQF Level 4 may have their experiential learning, where appropriate, assessed through GBS Malta’s MFHEA accredited Policy and Procedure for the Recognition of Prior Learning: Accreditation of Experiential Learning. English Language requirements To be offered a place on this Bsc(Hons) Health,social care and wellbeing, prospective participants would be required to meet English language requirements. Prospective participants who do not initially meet these English language standards can take an English language course offered by GBS HE Malta to support participants to meet this English language standard, generally within three months. |

Prospective students should also be able to demonstrate a suitable level of English language to be able to study and successfully complete this programme. Prospective students should possess at least the appropriate MQF/EQF Level 2 or equivalent qualifications. English language requirements: In addition, to be offered a place, students would be required to meet English language requirements of a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 overall or equivalent English language abilities at this level. |

This may take place at the GBS Malta campus or via virtual platforms. To be considered for a place on this programme, applicants are expected to meet the following admissions criteria: possession of a qualification at, or equivalent to, MFHEA MQF Level 4, with at least one subject in computing, information technology, or a related field. English Language requirements - An accepted English language test must be taken within 2 years of your start date. |
| Award in Business Management and Study Skills | 1 year | €5,000 per year(per year) | — | This MQF/EQF Level 4 Award in Business Management and Study Skills is for students who want to progress to a higher education course, for example, an undergraduate honours degree (MQF/EQF Levels 5 and 6) in business and management, and thereafter pursue a career in that area. Award graduates could also be qualified to take up junior management positions in business organisations. It is envisaged that there would be a range of different backgrounds of learners holding at least MQF/EQF Level 2 certificates in business and/or management related subjects who would be interested in study for the Award in Business Management and Study Skills. These include the following: Learners holding or about to hold MQF/EQF level 2 certificates in business-related subjects. Mature learners holding at least MQF/EQF level 2 certificates in business-related subjects working in junior management roles in a business organisation (local, national or global) who wish to pursue further studies to enhance their career prospects in more senior management roles. Learners who have worked in a family business and/or wish to set up their own business and hold at least MQF/EQF Level 2 certificate in business-related subjects. English Language requirements: In addition, to be offered a place, students would be required to meet English language requirements of a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 overall or equivalent English language abilities at this level. |

(b) Applicants with an MQF Level 4 qualification or equivalent not in business management or related area would be accepted if have relevant related work experience or having undertaken a short bridging course in business management or related area. Recognition of Prior Learning Prospective students who have worked in some capacity in an area of business management or related area (for example, marketing, finance, human resources, etc.) and who do not possess formal certificate qualifications at or equivalent to MFHEA MQF Level 4 may have their experiential learning, where appropriate, assessed through GBS Malta’s MFHEA accredited Policy and Procedure for the Recognition of Prior Learning: Accreditation of Experiential Learning. | Master of Business Administration | 1 year | €10,000 per year(per year) | — | Education To be offered a place to study on the MBA programme prospective participants would normally be required to meet the following admissions criteria: Possess the equivalent of a good UK honours degree – normally equivalent to a 2:2 or above. Possess the equivalent of a UK degree below a 2:2 standard whilst being able to evidence an aptitude and/or relevant work/management experience to successfully complete the MBA programme of study. Possess appropriate professional body qualifications (for example, ACCA or CIMA) at a level equivalent to UK undergraduate degree. Recognition of Prior Learning Prospective participants with relevant work experience, for example, having been or are working in a junior or middle manager role would also be considered for recognition of prior learning. Evidence of in-company formal training, professional development through attendance at external courses/training, for example, would also be considered and could substitute for the admissions criteria given in (a), (b) or (c) above. Recognition of prior learning for entry to the MBA on a case-by-case basis with evidence required to be provided by the prospective participant. | Master of Public Health | 1 Year | €10,000 per year(per year) | — | Prospective students who possess the equivalent of a relevant, good honours degree – normally equivalent to a 2:2 or above. Undergraduate degrees in such areas as public health, biology, health and social care, psychology and sociology and certain types of business and management courses may be appropriate (for example, BSc (Hons) Business and Management where research methods and an empirical project are undertaken related to public health). (a) Also, health care professionals with an undergraduate honours degree (nurses, social workers, social carers, etc.) would also be appropriate. (b) Possess the equivalent of a relevant UK or other recognised degree (as specified in (a) above) below a 2:2 standard whilst being able to evidence aptitude and/or relevant work/management experience in a health-related area to successfully complete the MPH programme of study. (c) Possess an appropriate professional body qualification, for example, nursing, social work, social care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, midwifery . English Language requirements The prospective participants will be required to meet English language requirements in order to be offered a place on this Master of Public Health. GBS HE Malta offers English language courses to participants who do not initially meet these English language standards to support them in meeting these English language standards, typically within three months. |
| MSc Information Technology Management | 1 year | €10,000 per year(per year) | — | (a) Admissions Prospective students with relevant work experience, for example, having been or are working in a computing and/or IT related area, including public,private or not-for-profit organisations would also be considered for recognition of prior learning. Evidence of in-company formal training,professional development through attendance at external courses/training,for example, would also be considered and could substitute for the admissions criteria given in (a), (b) or (c) above. Recognition of prior learning for entry to the Master of Science in Information Technology Management would be on a case-by-case basis with evidence required to be provided by the prospective student. (b) Advanced entry Students who can clearly evidence having studied one or more of the taught core modules at MQF Level 7 or equivalent may be given credit for one or more of the modules. An assessment would be conducted on an evidence basis with the student being responsible for supplying appropriate evidence. Academic requirements: Possess the equivalent (MQF Level 6) of a relevant, good honours degree from a UK university – normally equivalent to a 2:2 or higher. A range of subjects studied at undergraduate degree level would be considered. Examples include degree in computing or IT, business and management studies involving some IT components, engineering and information management. Prospective students would be required to demonstrate a committment to studying Information Technology Management at the Master’s level. Possess the equivalent (MQF Level 6) of a relevant UK degree below a 2:2 standard whilst being able to evidence an aptitude and/or relevant work/management experience to successfully complete the Master of Science in Information Technology Management programme of study. English language requirements - An accepted English language test must be taken within two years of your start date. |
