NAAC A+ Accreditation—The university has been accredited with grade A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Executive Committee.2
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) does not recognize/approve any institution/course/program/degree.3
Approval by UGC under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956 - The name of Uttaranchal University is included in the list of universities under Section 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.4
Approval by UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 - Uttaranchal University is a UGC-enlisted university. Our course curriculum and infrastructure are as per the UGC guidelines.5
Established by the State Government of Uttarakhand -Uttaranchal University is established vide the Uttaranchal University Act 2012 (Uttarakhand Act No. 11 of 2013). Uttaranchal University is a full-fledged university brought into existence by the state act passed by the Uttarakhand Legislature.6
Recognition by the Bar Council of India - Uttaranchal University has obtained the recognition/approval of the Bar Council of India to run its law programs under the Faculty of Law and Legal Studies (Law College Dehradun).7
Approval by AICTE—The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body brought into existence by an act of Indian Parliament. AICTE is the apex approving and regulatory body for technical courses being run by the technical institutions of higher education. As per the ruling of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Bharathidasan University vs. AICTE, the universities are not under the purview of the AICTE for granting approval to them for running technical courses. Under clause (k) of section 10 of the AICTE Act, universities do not require AICTE approval for running technical courses.8
Recognition by the Pharmacy Council of India - Uttaranchal University has obtained the recognition/approval of the Pharmacy Council of India to run its pharmacy programs, as evidenced by the approval letter from the Pharmacy Council of India.
