NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has successfully concluded the first phase of its 2025 placements, with 78 companies making a total of 373 job offers. Among these, 20 companies were first-time recruiters. Microsoft set the benchmark by offering the highest salary of Rs 54 lakh.
For the top-performing students, the average salary package was impressive. The top 10% of the batch secured an average of Rs 48 lakh, while the top 20% received Rs 43.5 lakh. The average package for the top 50% of students stood at Rs 35 lakh.
Accenture emerged as the largest recruiter of the season, extending 41 offers, nearly double its total from the previous year. The company offered Rs 37 lakh per annum for consultancy roles. Traditional recruiters in operations and supply chain management also participated actively, reinforcing the institute’s strong industry connections.
The summer placement drive for the 2026 batch at IIM Mumbai saw participation from 128 companies, offering internships to 425 students. The average stipend for these internships was Rs 3 lakh for two months, with Coca-Cola offering the highest stipend of Rs 5 lakh.

Reflecting on the achievements, Neeraj Pandey, chairperson of placement and branding at IIM Mumbai, noted, “The first phase of placement, which began on November 25, is over. Things are looking up as the market is recovering. We got many more offers compared to last year. All the candidates with work experience, as well as some freshers, have been placed. The remainder will have another round in January.”
