About XAT
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is one of India's oldest and most prestigious national-level MBA entrance examinations, conducted annually by XLRI Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The XAT exam is conducted for admission to MBA, PGDM, and other postgraduate management programs offered by XLRI and more than 250+ leading business schools across India. XAT is known for its unique exam pattern and high level of difficulty. The examination evaluates candidates on essential management aptitude skills, including Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The exam is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and primarily consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with some Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions depending on the latest exam pattern. Candidates from Commerce, Science, Arts, Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Agriculture, Computer Applications, and other recognized disciplines are eligible to appear for the XAT examination, provided they hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply. A high XAT percentile enables candidates to secure admission to some of India's top management institutes, including XLRI Jamshedpur, XIM University Bhubaneswar, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI Manipal, Great Lakes Institute of Management, FORE School of Management, LIBA Chennai, GIM Goa, BIM Trichy, and several other reputed MBA colleges.
