About CLAT

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level law entrance examination conducted annually by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to 5-year Integrated LLB (UG), LLM (PG), and other law programs offered by participating National Law Universities (NLUs) and several private universities across India. CLAT is one of the most prestigious and competitive law entrance exams in the country and is accepted by 24+ National Law Universities and over 60+ affiliated law colleges and universities. The CLAT exam is designed to assess candidates' aptitude for legal education by evaluating skills such as English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. The examination is conducted in offline (Pen-and-Paper) mode using an OMR-based question booklet, and all questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Students who have completed or are appearing for Class 12 examinations from a recognized board are eligible for the undergraduate (UG) CLAT exam, while candidates holding an LLB degree from a recognized university are eligible for the postgraduate (PG) CLAT examination. A good CLAT score enables candidates to secure admission to prestigious National Law Universities such as NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, GNLU Gandhinagar, NLIU Bhopal, HNLU Raipur, RMLNLU Lucknow, MNLU Mumbai, and other leading law schools. Qualifying the CLAT examination opens excellent career opportunities in Litigation, Corporate Law, Judicial Services, Civil Services, Legal Consultancy, Banking, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), International Law, Taxation, Cyber Law, Human Rights, Public Policy, and Legal Research. With proper preparation, consistent reading habits, regular mock tests, and strong analytical skills, candidates can secure admission to India's top law colleges and build successful legal careers.
