Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical programme that combines the ancient principles of Ayurveda with modern medical science. The course includes 4.5 years of academic study followed by a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship. BAMS focuses on disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, surgery (Shalya Tantra), herbal medicine, Panchakarma therapy, and holistic healthcare. The programme provides in-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, toxicology, and preventive medicine. Students also receive clinical training in hospitals, Ayurvedic dispensaries, and healthcare centres. Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board.
Physics, chemistry, and biology (PCB) are compulsory subjects.
English must be one of the qualifying subjects.
Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates must qualify the NEET-UG examination for admission.
The minimum age should be 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
