About BA Dance

Bachelor of Arts in Dance (BA Dance) is a three-year undergraduate degree program designed for students who are passionate about classical dance, folk dance, contemporary dance, choreography, stage performance, dance education, and performing arts. The course provides comprehensive knowledge of Indian and international dance forms while helping students develop artistic expression, creativity, rhythm, stage confidence, choreography skills, and professional performance techniques. Students study Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Folk Dance, Contemporary Dance, Dance Composition, Choreography, Dance History, Music for Dance, Performance Studies, Stagecraft, Costume Design, and Dance Criticism. The course also focuses on movement techniques, body conditioning, performance psychology, theatre arts, event management, production planning, cultural heritage, dance therapy, digital performance, entertainment management, and creative entrepreneurship. Students gain practical exposure through stage shows, national and international dance festivals, theatre productions, television performances, music videos, cultural exchange programs, and internships with dance academies and production houses.
