About B.Tech Information Technology (B.Tech IT)
B.Tech Information Technology (B.Tech IT) is a four-year undergraduate engineering program that focuses on the design, development, implementation, and management of computer systems, software applications, databases, networking, and digital technologies. The course equips students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to build innovative software solutions, manage IT infrastructure, and support digital transformation across industries. The curriculum is based on the AICTE Model Curriculum and combines theoretical concepts with hands-on laboratory work, coding practice, industry internships, and project-based learning. Students study core areas such as programming, data structures, database management systems (DBMS), operating systems, computer networks, software engineering, web technologies, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data analytics. They also gain exposure to emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, DevOps, Full Stack Development, Big Data, and Edge Computing. Through industrial training, hackathons, live projects, and research activities, students develop problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills that prepare them for successful careers in the IT and software industries.
