About B.Tech Dairy Technology
B.Tech Dairy Technology is a four-year undergraduate engineering program that focuses on the science, engineering, processing, preservation, packaging, quality control, and management of milk and dairy products. The course combines principles of food science, microbiology, chemistry, engineering, and nutrition to prepare students for careers in the dairy, food processing, and agricultural industries. The curriculum is designed in line with AICTE guidelines and industry requirements, offering a blend of theoretical learning, laboratory experiments, industrial training, and practical exposure. Students gain in-depth knowledge of milk processing technology, dairy engineering, dairy microbiology, dairy chemistry, food safety, refrigeration technology, packaging technology, quality assurance, and dairy plant management. The program also introduces emerging technologies such as automation in dairy processing, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), smart dairy farming, sustainable food processing, and cold chain management. Through internships, industrial visits, research projects, and hands-on laboratory training, students develop technical expertise and management skills required to work in dairy plants, food processing companies, research organizations, and government sectors.
