About B.Tech Chemical Engineering
B.Tech Chemical Engineering is a four-year undergraduate engineering program that focuses on the design, development, operation, and optimization of chemical processes used in industries such as petroleum, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, food processing, biotechnology, energy, polymers, environmental engineering, and specialty chemicals. The course combines principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering to develop efficient, safe, and sustainable industrial processes. The curriculum follows the AICTE Model Curriculum, offering a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge, laboratory work, industrial training, and project-based learning. Students gain expertise in chemical process engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering, process control, plant design, environmental engineering, and process safety. They also learn emerging technologies such as green chemistry, nanotechnology, process simulation, artificial intelligence (AI) in process industries, renewable energy systems, and industrial automation.
