About B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology
Dialysis technology is a specialised allied healthcare programme that trains students to operate dialysis machines, monitor patients with kidney disorders, and assist nephrologists in providing life-saving renal replacement therapy. The course focuses on the diagnosis and management of patients suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD) and acute kidney failure through haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis procedures. The B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology is generally a 3- to 4-year undergraduate programme, depending on the university, and includes classroom learning, laboratory sessions, clinical postings, and a compulsory internship.
