About B.Sc. Horticulture

B.Sc. Horticulture is a four-year undergraduate degree program that focuses on the science and technology of cultivating fruits, vegetables, flowers, medicinal plants, spices, plantation crops, and ornamental plants. The course combines agricultural science with modern horticultural practices to improve crop quality, productivity, sustainability, and profitability. It is an ideal program for students interested in agriculture, plant science, landscaping, floriculture, and agribusiness. The curriculum provides students with in-depth knowledge of plant propagation, soil science, crop production, plant breeding, irrigation management, pest control, post-harvest technology, greenhouse cultivation, and organic farming. With the increasing demand for high-quality fruits, vegetables, flowers, and sustainable farming practices, horticulture has become one of the fastest-growing branches of agriculture.
