About AME

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a specialized professional aviation program that prepares students to inspect, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and certify aircraft for safe flight operations. The course is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, and follows international aviation safety standards. Unlike traditional engineering degree programs, AME focuses on the practical maintenance and airworthiness of aircraft. Students receive extensive classroom instruction along with hands-on training in aircraft maintenance organizations (MROs), airlines, and aviation maintenance facilities. The curriculum covers aircraft structures, aircraft systems, engines, avionics, aviation legislation, maintenance practices, aviation safety, quality assurance, and aircraft inspections. Students also gain practical exposure to modern aircraft through workshops, hangar training, simulator sessions, and industrial internships. After successfully completing the training and obtaining the DGCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, graduates can work with domestic and international airlines, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organizations, aircraft manufacturers, defense aviation, business aviation, and government aviation departments. Eligibility Criteria

Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board.
Minimum 45%–50% aggregate marks (varies by institute).
Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Aeronautical Engineering may also be eligible.
Minimum age: 16 years.
Must meet DGCA medical fitness requirements.
Admission may be based on merit or institute-level entrance examinations.
